Sorry. I live next to a meat packing plant. Once in awhile some of the stray cows end up on our yard, as we are 2 houses down. Once in the plant they use a gun to shoot the cows before slautering. When they walk in our yard, the look in their eyes they know that something is gunna happen to them. You can feel it and read it.
The cows are shot in the meat packing plant next door right between the eyes. They have no where to run, and no where to hide.

Ok, I love all animals and have had pet cows too, but I'm also a meat eater as are most human beings. It's the way God intended us to be. God did not invent Tofu....Shooting them is quick and they don't suffer. I'm not saying I like it, but I'm not sure how else you would have them destroyed? You eat the beef. You can't have it both ways. It's much more humane to shoot them between the eyes and kill them instantly than to take pot shots at them as they run through a pasture or something....

I think what she is trying to say is that it is sad to see the cows die even if you do eat them because you can tell they are innocent and wouldn't want to be kept from roaming as far as they would in the wild and get injected with growth hormones ect, just to be slaughtered. They should at least treat the cows better.

Well it is sad to see an animal when you look into their eyes locked up to face a death that you can not stop. To me it is a lot like the DNR around here that have fencing with state land and are guaranteed a dear or they don't pay. This is why some people are vegetarians.

...and others for health, others because they like meat ect. For me, it it for all of those reasons, including yours about the cruety to the animals.
